BMW • QUARTER PANEL & BUMPER REPAIR
Quarter panel crease & rear bumper scuff repair
Restoring the shape of a creased rear quarter panel and repairing the adjoining bumper scuff — photographed from the original damage through to the finished paintwork.

THE DAMAGE
More than a paint scuff
The BMW had a crease in the rear quarter panel just behind the wheel arch, together with scuffing across the adjoining bumper corner. The quarter-panel damage affected the shape of the metal as well as the paintwork.
The repair therefore involved restoring the panel profile and refinishing both affected areas. The before photographs show the crease and bumper scuff from different angles.
THE REPAIR
Shape first. Finish next.
The quarter panel was prepared for metal reshaping, with pulling pins used as part of the dent repair. The repaired area was then shaped and refined ready for paint.
The bumper corner was prepared alongside the quarter panel. With surrounding areas masked, the affected sections progressed through primer and colour application before the finished paintwork was photographed.

THE RESULT
Both areas repaired together
The finished photographs show the repaired quarter-panel profile and refinished rear bumper corner from several angles. The visible crease and scuffing shown in the original photographs have been addressed on the existing panels.
The customer’s dent and paint damage were handled together, with the photographs providing a record of the work behind the finished appearance.
